Elizabeth is the co-founder of Shakespeare by the Sea. Trained as an actor
she has worked on stages across Canada from Vancouver to Halifax including three
years with The Stratford Festival for which she is deeply grateful because it
gave her the down payment for her first house. For Shakespeare by the Sea she
has directed THE MERCY SEAT, THE TAMING OF THE SHREW, OTHELLO, LOVE’S LABOUR’S
LOST and TWELFTH NIGHT. She was nominated for a Merritt award for her direction
of OTHELLO. This season she co-directed THE COMPLETE WORKS OF WILLIAM
SHAKESPEARE (abridged) – as the christening performance for the new indoor
performance space in the lower parking lot, aptly named PARK PLACE and in the
park she directs MEASURE FOR MEASURE.
