Laura Brinton

Laura is pleased to be returning for her third season in the park, as resident weather maker, and stage manager. She has stage managed six productions with SBTS. Last season’s Jack and the Beanstalk-Market, Love’s Labour’s Lost and Macbeth; and the 2008 productions of Cinderelly:The Wild West Musical, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, And Othello. Laura just returned from Fredericton, where she was the Assistant Stage Manager for Theatre New Brunswick’s production of Skin Flick by Norm Foster. In the fall Laura stage managed a bilingual play for Canadian Parents for French Nova Scotia’s entitled Speak for Yourself/C’est Parle L’ideal, which toured elementary and middle schools across Nova Scotia. Previous Apprentice Stage Management credits: Hanna's Suitcase and Anne of Green Gables A Musical (The Grand Theatre London), It Runs in the Family, Bedtime Stories, Too Many Cooks (Upper Canada Playhouse). Select Stage Management Credits: Romeo and Juliet, King Lear, Hamlet (Forward Theatre), The Destruction of Eve (McMaster University, Edinburgh Fringe Festival), Dogs! The Musical (Player's Players, London Fringe Fesrival). Laura has attended the Banff Centre for the Performing Arts Stage Management Work Study Program. She graduated from McMaster University with an Honors B.A. in Theatre and Film Studies and English in 2006. Laura is an import from Ontario, but has called Halifax her home since 2008.
