SPRING TRAINING

Class Schedule

For Teens (13+): Saturdays 12:00-4:00PM
For Professionals: Mondays 6:00-10:00PM

Skill-building workshops for actors who want to level up.

Spring Training is The Studio’s deep-dive workshop series designed for actors who are ready to sharpen specific skills in a focused, no-pressure environment. There’s no performance at the end—just the chance to train, experiment, and grow.

Each workshop is led by a guest instructor with specialized expertise, offering students access to new techniques, fresh perspectives, and industry-informed training.

Whether you’re building confidence, expanding your toolkit, or brushing up on fundamentals, Spring Training is your space to do the work.

HOW IT WORKS

Each workshop runs twice in the same week:

  • Saturdays (Teen Edition) – for students developing their craft

  • Monday Evenings (Professional Development Edition) – for advanced students and working artists

Choose one workshop or commit to the full series—each session stands alone, but together they build a well-rounded performer.

SBTSHalifax performances takes place in Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi'kmaq people. The territory is covered by the Treaty of Peace and Friendship, which Mi'kmaq and Maliseet People first signed with the British crown in 1726.

We are forever grateful to be able to live and create art in this place, and we hope that our work joins the tradition of storytelling that has existed here long before us, documented and undocumented, acknowledging those whose names we know, and appreciating those whose names we may never know.

We are all Treaty people. To learn more about Treaty Education in Nova Scotia, please visit:
