JUNIOR SHAKESPEARE & MUSICAL THEATRE CLASS

Class Schedule

Saturdays 9:30-10:30AM

Ages 7-10

Fall Session | October 18-December 20 (10 classes) | $249 + HST

Winter/Spring Session | January 10 - May 2 (11 classes + dress rehearsal/recital) | $338 + HST

Full Year Discount - Save $39 | October 18-May 2 | $549 + HST

This class will teach acting, singing, and dance technique as well as foundational Shakespeare technique. Students get the opportunity to explore all different aspects of performance, learning songs and choreography to songs from Broadway shows, while also learning how to present short pieces of text from Shakespeare’s most-loved plays.

REHEARSAL PROTOCOLS:

This is a 60 minute class which will cover singing, dancing, acting, and foundational Shakespeare technique. The class will perform one musical theatre song and a piece of Shakespeare text in the recital at the end of the year. Students will need to wear comfortable clothing and shoes they can move in to each rehearsal.

ADDITIONAL FEES:

  • $40 + HST Costume Fee 

  • There is a $40 + HST Photo Fee billed in the Winter which covers photography for students participating in recital.

  • Tickets to the final performance are $20 + fees + HST each.

SBTSHalifax performances takes place in Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi'kmaq people. The territory is covered by the Treaty of Peace and Friendship, which Mi'kmaq and Maliseet People first signed with the British crown in 1726.
