REFUND POLICY

Refund Policy – Weekly Classes

At The Studio, we understand that plans can change. Our refund policy is designed to be fair to families while also ensuring the sustainability of our programs. Please read carefully before registering your child.

Withdrawal & Refunds

  • 7 days or more before the first class: Full refund, less a $25 administrative fee.

  • After the first class: Refund of fees paid, less a $25 administrative fee and a $100 non-refundable deposit.

  • After up to 3 classes: Pro-rated refund of remaining classes, less a $25 administrative fee and a $100 non-refundable deposit.

  • After the 4th class has taken place: No refunds will be issued.

Special Circumstances

  • Refunds or credits due to illness, family emergency, or other extraordinary circumstances may be considered at the discretion of the Studio Director.

  • When possible, families are encouraged to accept a credit towards a future program. Refunds may also be issued back to the original method of payment if necessary.

Transfers

  • Registrations may be transferred to another Studio class (space permitting).

  • A registration may also be transferred to a sibling if the original registrant is unable to participate.

Refund Policy – Shakespeare Company & Musical Theatre Company

Participation in our Company programs is a commitment not only to your own growth as a performer, but also to the ensemble as a whole. Because each student’s role impacts the casting and experience of others, our refund policy is structured to reflect this shared responsibility.

Registration & Deposits

  • A $100 non-refundable deposit is due upon casting to secure your child’s place in the production.

  • Payment plans are available, but full payment is required by December.

Withdrawal & Refunds

  • Families may withdraw up to 7 days before the first rehearsal and receive a refund of fees paid less the $100 deposit.

  • After this point, refunds are not available once rehearsals begin. This policy ensures fairness to other students and preserves the integrity of the production, as every role and ensemble spot is carefully allocated.

Special Circumstances

  • In rare cases of illness, family emergency, or other extraordinary circumstances, the Studio Director may consider accommodations on a case-by-case basis.

SBTSHalifax performances takes place in Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi'kmaq people. The territory is covered by the Treaty of Peace and Friendship, which Mi'kmaq and Maliseet People first signed with the British crown in 1726.

We are forever grateful to be able to live and create art in this place, and we hope that our work joins the tradition of storytelling that has existed here long before us, documented and undocumented, acknowledging those whose names we know, and appreciating those whose names we may never know.
